During our Presentation Day, our children performed three songs in the combined group choir led by a music teacher, Joanne Lok who flew from New York to volunteer for our program. This was an exciting performance for all the children as they had been practising over the week during our Kids and Youth Club. The Presentation Day was also filled with interactive group games, involving all our parents and families and we had an opportunity to listen to the testimonies of the children and parents who shared about their experiences and feelings of joining our Kids and Youth Club program.

What do you get when you have over 150 people in May and count 50 of them mothers? It’s a Mother’s Day Celebration!!!
On Sunday 7 May 2017, The Church of God in Sydney and Light & Love Home organised a Mother’s Day celebration with afternoon tea, games and performances. We had families and friends from the community join in to celebrate and show appreciation to the hardworking and loving mums.

Youth Club was held on the 4-6 of October for high school from years 6-9. Over the three days, we participated in many team building activities such as a culinary challenge and an amazing race. We were also taught many valuable life-long lessons such as speaking confidently in situations out of our comfort zones and learnt more about the mystery of life. Through these many fun activities and lessons, it also helped everyone to meet new people and make new friends. We are looking forward to our next Youth Club and we would love to have you next time!

Give thanks to God for blessing our Spring picnic at Hurstville Grove! Give thanks that we had beautiful weather and more than 100 people came! We engaged in different group activities and the youths even had an exciting water fight! It brought great life and laughter to Moore Reserve! We enjoyed a picnic lunch together and everyone left with joyous and satisfied hearts! Check out the video!

On 4th September, Light and Love Home and Love Your Neighbour Club ran a Father’s Day Fun fair! We not only wanted to celebrate and show our appreciation to our fathers but also fundraise for charitable works all over the world!
We had performances by primary school and high school children as well as working brothers and sisters. We held games outside tailored to be played together in order to build loving relationships within our families and it was fun for everyone!
