Our Groups
Working in Unity
‘Working in Unity’ is a lively and diverse group of university and working young adults. We meet on a weekly basis to worship and pursue God through His word. Supporting each other to understand God’s desire and purpose, we are encouraged to live out our youth for His glorious will and great commission!
Every month we also organise social events and community outreach activities such as hikes, sports and volunteering opportunities. Visit the church calendar to see what we are up to and join in!
Sparkling Stars and Wonderful Warriors
Our children programs at Kogarah and Homebush focus on the physical and spiritual wellbeing of children from Kindergarten to Year 6. We organise sports activities and outings with the goal of developing healthy bodies as well as providing children opportunities to build friendships and develop social skills. We also focus on character development, helping them to establish correct values based on biblical teachings. Our aim is to support the children holistically so that they may grow up to be future pillars of our society.
Fly on High
We are high school students with a vision to “Fly on High” in our personal and spiritual growth. We gather together to know God and His glorious will through biblical truths and worship. By bonding with one another through fellowship and activities, we become more than just friends but brothers and sisters in God’s family. So join us! And experience God’s love, this family and fly on high together!
Happy Family
We are brothers and sisters from Happy Family. Most of us are working and have families to take care of. Although our lives are busy, but because of God’s love and the warmth of God’s family household, we gather together every Sunday. We sing songs, pray and worship God and know God’s words in both English and Chinese. After the meeting, we have a love feast together. We all talk with joy, support each other, share greetings and love, so as to build God’s sweet home together. We love because God first loved us!
Cantonese Group
Our Cantonese group in the Church of God of Sydney comprises of the following sub-groups:
Workers, Married couples, Families & Elderly
In addition to weekly Sunday worship, communion and bible teaching; periodic activities include bible studies, cell group gathering, fellowship meals, family visits and picnics. The majority of us are migrants to Australia. We have individuals who speak languages other than English and Cantonese. It is our desire to preach God’s word in Sydney, service our communities and glorify God.
Mandarin Group
A part of the Church of God in Sydney, the Mandarin group strives to live out the love of Christ in sharing, caring and loving one another. We hold small groups, Sunday service and also family gatherings and picnics to build up relationships and live out God’s Household. We are predominantly made up of Chinese people from Hong Kong and Mainland China and consist mainly of family units. We also work closely with our Sparkling Stars teachers to build up our next generation.
